About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to work in Knoxville, Tennessee. The role performs skilled specimen collections and provides customer service to patients, serving as a representative of the company. The position offers opportunities for ongoing growth within Labcorp. The schedule varies by day from Monday through Friday and includes weekend and holiday shifts. The schedule is described as 3 or 4 days on followed by 3 days off, with hours from 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Travel to additional sites may be required when needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
Comfort working under minimal supervision.
Reliable transportation and a clean driving record, if applicable.
Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
In lieu of work experience, a phlebotomy certification or completed training program must be from an accredited agency.

Nice To Haves

One year or more of experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other purposes.
Enter patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
Process billing information and collect payments when required.
Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
Provide superior customer service to patients.
Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
Travel to additional sites when needed.
