About The Position

Specialty Medical Staffing is currently seeking a Hospital Pharmacist for a contract opportunity with a behavioral health hospital in the Anchorage, AK area. This position offers the opportunity to support an experienced inpatient pharmacy team while providing care for pediatric and adult behavioral health patients in a collaborative hospital environment. We are seeking a pharmacist with strong inpatient clinical experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to support daily pharmacy operations in a behavioral health setting.

Requirements

• Active Alaska Pharmacist License in good standing
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

• Acute care or behavioral health pharmacy experience preferred
• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Experience with HCS or Omnicell is a plus (onsite training provided)

Responsibilities

• Review and verify medication orders
• Monitor medication therapy and support clinical pharmacy services
• Perform Omnicell inspections and medication management activities
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care
• Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations and hospital policies
• Support daily inpatient pharmacy operations in a behavioral health setting
