About The Position

The Pharmacist coordinates and provides pharmaceutical care to patients at Highland Springs, a behavioral health hospital. The role manages drug therapy protocols as part of an interdisciplinary team and reviews, interprets, and evaluates medication orders to identify, prevent, and resolve potential or actual drug-related problems. The Pharmacist provides drug information and education to medical staff, healthcare professionals, patients, and pharmacy students; documents interventions and outcomes for drug therapy quality improvement; and evaluates medication orders for accuracy and completeness before order entry, checking the accuracy of technician-filled prescriptions. This is a PRN position.

Requirements

• Pharmacy license in the state of Ohio.
• Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Responsibilities
