About The Position
Specialty Medical Staffing is currently seeking a Hospital Pharmacist for a contract opportunity with a behavioral health hospital in the Sumter, SC area. This position offers the opportunity to work independently while providing pharmacy services in an inpatient behavioral health setting. We are seeking a pharmacist with recent inpatient hospital experience, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to independently manage daily pharmacy operations while collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team.
Requirements
- Active South Carolina Pharmacist License in good standing
- Minimum one year of recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience required
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience with behavioral health pharmacy preferred
- WellSky and Omnicell experience is a plus (onsite training provided)
Responsibilities
- Review and verify medication orders
- Provide clinical pharmacy support for an inpatient behavioral health hospital
- Manage Omnicell inventory and medication replenishment
- Order medications and supplies through Cardinal Health
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care
- Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations and hospital policies
- Provide remote order verification and clinical support during scheduled on-call coverage
