About The Position

The Hospital Maintenance Plumber is responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems within a healthcare facility. This role involves ensuring that water supply, drainage, and other plumbing systems operate efficiently and comply with health and safety regulations. Key duties include diagnosing and fixing plumbing issues, performing routine inspections, and collaborating with other maintenance staff to support the hospital's operational needs. The Plumber should have strong problem solving skills, a solid understanding of plumbing systems, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, sensitive environment.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical Diploma in plumbing and/or Completion of an apprenticeship program.
  • State of Arkansas plumbing License- required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ of experience in plumbing maintenance, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent Time management skills.
  • Strong technical skills in plumbing installation, repair, and maintenance.
  • Regulatory Knowledge of plumbing requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Journeyman Plumbing License- preferred.
  • Experience with complex plumbing systems, including medical gas systems, backflow prevention devices, and other specialized hospital plumbing preferred.
  • Experience in developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs for plumbing systems.
  • Proficient knowledge in regulatory requirements for plumbing, preferably in a hospital setting preferred.
