About The Position

The Hospital Liaison with Sales responsibilities will work at an assigned hospital to provide DME and respiratory products and services, and also provide support to the facility. The Liaison will interact throughout the day with the case managers and physician referrals to deliver and set up oxygen portability, nebulizers, and small DME items for patient discharge. Liaisons will educate referral sources and case managers on products and services offered by the company.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills and be comfortable interacting with patients, physicians, and hospital staff on a daily basis
  • Will need to gain knowledge of basic Medicare coverage guidelines and documentation requirements, including CMNs
  • Responsible for gathering this information for reimbursement
  • Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
  • Add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Compute rate, ratio, and percent, as well as to draw and interpret bar graphs
  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Computer skills required

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new referral sources
  • Prepare for and participate in trade shows, exhibits, and advertising campaigns
  • Conducts in-service for referral sources and case managers, educating them in the use and application of equipment and services
  • Initiate resolution for complaints from referral sources with the appropriate management
  • Understand and provide information on Medicare and insurance procedures, pricing information, and product information to referral sources
  • Assist the center in the ensurance of clean paperwork before packages are sent to accounting for billing and collections activities by conducting follow-up visits to the physicians to obtain prescriptions for services
  • Make rounds to contact all case managers each day at the assigned facility, reminding case managers of availability to provide patient disarrange equipment needs
  • Communicate with center throughout the day on oxygen discharges so that center can schedule Service Rep to complete home setup of equipment
  • Understand and communicate coverage criteria to case managers and patients as applicable
  • Complete setup paperwork daily for all equipment delivered
  • Assist with getting CMNs and chart notes as requested by center daily required for billing
