About The Position

Cleveland Clinic Rehab Hospital, a joint venture with Select Medical, is seeking a Hospital Facility Manager. This role is a key member of the hospital leadership team, working collaboratively with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to support the overall administrative and technical operations of the facility. The Hospital Facility Manager also serves as the hospital's safety officer, overseeing environmental services and security departments to ensure safe operating conditions in compliance with all state, federal, and accrediting agencies. Responsibilities include managing all aspects of facility and grounds maintenance, utility provision, restoration and renovation projects, and new construction. The role involves planning, directing, and supervising all administrative and technical aspects of the department, developing and managing departmental activities, and actively participating in hospital committees, particularly the Safety and Infection Control Committees. A Quality Control Program must be established and maintained, along with ensuring compliance with Environment of Care and OSHA standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience in provision of maintenance, environmental services, and related services in a hospital environment required
  • Knowledge of JCAHO/OSHA regulations and standards required

  • College Degree related to building construction and maintenance preferred

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing all aspects of the maintenance of the facility and grounds
  • Managing the provision of utilities
  • Overseeing the restoration and renovation of the facility and new construction
  • Planning, directing, and supervising all administrative and technical aspects of the department
  • Developing, reviewing, and managing the activities of self and other personnel in the department
  • Actively participating in all hospital committees which impact this department, with specific responsibility on the Safety and Infection Control Committees
  • Establishing and maintaining a Quality Control Program
  • Maintaining an Environment of Care and OSHA standards in accordance with current Federal, State and local standards, guidelines and regulations
  • Serving as the hospital’s safety officer
  • Managing the environmental services and security departments to ensure safe operating conditions in compliance with all state, federal and accrediting agencies
