About The Position

This role supports patient care activities on a nursing unit by maintaining patient records, managing supplies, and ensuring a well-kept environment. The Hospital Concierge coordinates activities with unit staff and other departments, demonstrating clear, concise, accurate, and timely communication with healthcare team members, patients, families, and visitors. The position requires incorporating NYU Core Values into all aspects of job performance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or the equivalent.
• Computer literacy including but not limited to keyboard facility, data entry, knowledge of email, use of hospital intranet, multiple telephone line experience and etiquette.
• Evidence of excellent interpersonal skills.
• Effective communication skills both in person and on the telephone.
• Creative problem solving.
• Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

Nice To Haves

• Clerical, customer service, communications-related experience desirable.
• Bilingual desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support the patient care activities of the nursing unit through timely greeting and check-in of arriving patients.
• Coordinate activities with unit staff and other departments.
• Demonstrate clear, concise, accurate, and timely communications with members of the health care team, patients, families, and visitors.
• Perform service functions including, but not limited to, triaging/answering calls.
• Assist with concerns and use of MyWall.
• Work under direct supervision; incorporate NYULH Core Values in all aspects of job performance.
