Position Summary: Reporting to the management team of physical therapy, Hospital Assistant III is responsible for assisting in carrying out established plans of care, mobility, and exercise programs for all ages of patients referred to in an assigned area. Duties also include routine cleaning and maintenance of equipment, assisting with light clerical duties and any activities necessary for the smooth operation of the department as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • BLS certification upon hire
  • Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
  • Must be able to provide proof of work authorization

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of basic medical terminology
  • Patient care experience working in Rehabilitation Therapy or in the acute care setting preferred
  • Must possess the skill, knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
  • Must possess knowledge and practice of infectious control techniques
  • Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
  • Demonstrated experience using MS Office
