Position Summary: Incumbent assists in the preparation for patient meal service through processing diet orders using hospital computer applications (TDS and Mass Cash POS). Enters all tube feeding products and/or snacks into Mass Cash POS System for a "ready at time" delivery to patient care units. Assists patients via telephone orders with menu selection and educates as needed in accordance with diet order. Updates changes from diet sheets for each mealtime. Visits or calls patients that require assistance with menu selection and performs daily floor stocking duties.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in an administrative or clerical position
  • Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
  • Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Education or experience in nutrition or dietary requirements
  • Computer experience to include financial management software
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
  • Must be able to provide proof of work authorization
