About The Position

Universal Health Services (UHS) is seeking candidates for its Hospital Administrator Program at South Texas Health System McAllen Medical Center in McAllen, TX. This program is designed to develop future leaders within UHS. The selected candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of various hospital departments, manage assigned departments efficiently, and implement strategies set by the CEO and COO. The role involves project management to further hospital strategy and aims to maximize the quality of services and hospital profits. Participants will also enroll in corporate Leadership Development classes to prepare them for executive roles, specifically aiming for a COO position within UHS.

Requirements

Knowledge of the financial implications of decisions, including budgeting and forecasting for a limited number of departments and/or projects.
Detail-oriented with the ability to focus on nuances of multiple hospital operations.
Effective communication skills with diverse groups, including physicians, managers, and employees.
Master’s degree required (MBA, MHA or related program).
Hospital management experience at a mid-level (3-7 years).
Acute Care Hospital Experience required.
Must be open to Relocation.
Strong Project Management experience.
Strong critical thinking skillset.

Nice To Haves

Administrative Residency or Fellowship a plus.

Responsibilities
