Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking a compassionate veterinarian to provide hospice and in-home euthanasia care to pets and their families in Tacoma, Auburn, Puyallup, Kent, Federal Way, Renton, SeaTac, and the surrounding Washington metropolitan area. The veterinarian will provide end-of-life care in pets’ homes, helping families make informed decisions and say goodbye with dignity and peace. The work is designed to allow time for listening, explaining, and honoring each pet’s story, with a few appointments per day and no double-booking. The veterinarian practices independently while traveling to appointments and has access to onboarding, one-on-one mentorship, and experienced colleagues for support. Scheduling options include two to five days per week, with self-managed scheduling available. Compensation depends on the schedule: five-day full-time is listed at $135,000 annually, four-day full-time at $110,000 annually, and two- or three-day schedules receive prorated compensation. The posting states guaranteed compensation ranges from $65,000 to $135,000, depending on schedule, plus quarterly bonus opportunities. Weekend days are chosen by the veterinarian, with four weekend days per month.
