Hospice RN - Per Diem

About The Position
MultiCare is seeking a registered nurse to join its Hospice team and provide specialized nursing care using a multidisciplinary approach. Nurses at MultiCare are supported in clinical decision-making, communication, professional development, and career growth. The position requires a minimum of four shifts per month, including one consecutive Saturday/Sunday weekend each month. The schedule is per diem and variable.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, or obtain one within five years of the initial hire date; an RN with 15 or more years of service may be considered in lieu of the education agreement.
- Current Registered Nurse license in Washington State or a Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
- Current BLS Certification.
Nice To Haves
- Advanced degree in Nursing (MSN, PhD, DNP, or ARNP).
- National Certification in Hospice and Palliative Nursing.
- One year of Home Health or Hospice experience.
- At least one year of Medicare Certified Home Health or Hospice experience.
Responsibilities
- Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
- Use nursing education and experience to provide care through the nursing process in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care, patient experience, and cost efficiency.
- Foster a learning environment for patients, families, nursing staff, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Advocate for ethical, holistic care that promotes patient autonomy, dignity, and health across diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
