About The Position

UPMC Family Hospice is hiring Full-Time Registered Nurses (RNs) to cover the greater Jersey Shore area, primarily within Clinton and Lycoming Counties. This role offers the opportunity to provide one-on-one care in patients’ homes, build meaningful relationships, and enjoy a more sustainable pace of nursing- all with the stability, benefits, and growth opportunities of UPMC. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
  • Active RN license (Pennsylvania or compact state eligibility)
  • CPR certification (AHA) within 30 days of hire
  • Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and required clearances
  • Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse either in the state where the facility is located or in a state covered by a licensure compact agreement with the state where the facility is located.
  • CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
  • Graduate nurses must complete licensure examination within SIX (6) MONTHS of hire or within one year of graduation, whichever comes first.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver skilled nursing care to patients in their homes throughout assigned Pittsburgh-area communities
  • Develop and manage plans of care in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary partners
  • Provide patient and family education that promotes independence and recovery
  • Complete required documentation (OASIS, visit notes, orders) electronically using a provided laptop
  • Contribute to high-quality, patient-centered outcomes while maintaining regulatory standards
