About The Position
Sage Group HealthCare Staffing is seeking an Inpatient Hospice RN for a 13-week travel/contract position in Missoula, MT. This role involves providing nursing care for hospice patients in inpatient units and supporting in-home hospice visits as census demands. The nurse will manage an assigned caseload, lead the interdisciplinary team, and provide comprehensive hospice care including assessments, care planning, pain and symptom management, and medication administration. Accurate and timely patient documentation and charting are essential.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse: 1 to 2 years - Required
- Hospice Nursing experience: 1 to 2 years – Required
- EMR/EHR charting - Required
- Must have valid Driver’s License and Personal Auto Insurance
- ASN or an equivalent – Required
- RN License for State applying or Compact if accepted in the state - Required
- BLS Certification from AHA or American Red Cross - Required
Nice To Haves
- HCHB - Highly Preferred
- BSN or an equivalent – Highly preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide Nursing Care for Hospice Patients in inpatient units and support in-home hospice visits as census demands.
- Manage assigned caseload of patients and lead the interdisciplinary team caring for those patients.
- Provide assessments, care planning, pain management and symptom management and all other aspects of hospice nursing.
- Administer Physician-prescribed medication.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of patient documentation and charting in adherence to client policies.
