About The Position

This is a Valir Hospice position located at the Valir PACE facility in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Valir Hospice provides terminally ill patients and their families with customized medical care and pain management, as well as emotional and spiritual support. Requirements

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Ability to learn and utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a collaborative team approach.
  • Basic understanding of office technology and ability to coordinate technology-related needs.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year of administrative, clerical, office support, or healthcare office experience preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare, hospice, home health, or a medical office setting preferred.
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand and keyboard functions.
  • Ability to read, speak, and hear in English.
  • Sedentary position (exerting up to 25lbs of force occasionally).

  • Event planning and coordination skills preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily business office operations to ensure efficient workflow and exceptional customer service.
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, payroll, employee records, compliance, and administrative processes.
  • Coordinate accounts payable, office operations, vendor services, and business office functions.
  • Maintain patient records, organizational documents, licenses, certifications, policies, and regulatory documentation.
  • Provide backup support for intake, referrals, scheduling, payroll, medical records, and other business office operations.
  • Prepare reports, assist with audits, surveys, and regulatory reviews, and support organizational compliance.
  • Coordinate employee training, technology access, and office resources.
  • Collaborate with leadership to improve operational efficiency and support special projects and organizational initiatives.
  • Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
