About The Position

Residential Home Health and Hospice is hiring a Music Therapist to provide hospice care to patients in their homes in the Lewisburg, Pennsylvania area. The role delivers compassionate, patient-centered music therapy in accordance with hospice care plans, promoting comfort, emotional support, relaxation, and quality of life for patients and families. The therapist supports patients and caregivers through therapeutic music interventions, responding professionally and flexibly to emotional and comfort needs throughout the end-of-life journey. This is a field-based position involving independent work and travel to patient homes within an assigned territory, with support from an interdisciplinary team and a dedicated field education team.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Music Therapy degree.
• Current Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) credential from the U.S. Certification Board for Music Therapists.
• State music therapy licensing where required.
• At least six months of work or education experience with geriatric health care.
• At least six months of work or education experience with end-of-life or terminal illness health care.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to spend approximately 20% of the workday driving to and from patient locations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a hospice setting in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.
• Provide music therapy services in accordance with hospice care plans to promote comfort, emotional support, relaxation, and quality of life for patients and families.
• Educate and support patients and caregivers through therapeutic music interventions.
• Respond professionally and flexibly to emotional and comfort needs throughout the end-of-life journey.
• Travel to patient homes within the assigned territory.
