About The Position
AdvisaCare Hospice is seeking compassionate and dependable individuals to volunteer their time to support hospice patients. This is a non-paid, volunteer opportunity to make a difference in the lives of patients in the Saginaw County area. No healthcare experience is necessary, and volunteers must be 18 years or older. Court-ordered service hours are not accepted.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Willing to submit to TB and Drug Tests.
- Willing to be Fingerprinted.

Responsibilities
- Sit bedside with hospice patients in nursing facilities.
- Provide caregiver relief inside private residences.
- Bring already licensed dogs for pet therapy visits with patients.
- Play the guitar bedside of hospice patients.
- Provide bereavement volunteer support through calls to families.
- Assist with grief groups.
- Pre-med students can gain experience in gerontology patient care.
- Provide grief support remotely.
