About The Position

Enhabit Home Health & Hospice is hiring a full-time Hospice CNA to provide personal care to hospice patients and support their families. The role includes assisting with bedding and clothing changes, bathing, hygiene routines, and keeping wound dressings clean and dry. Hospice Nursing Aides may instruct family members in basic healthcare routines for their terminally ill relatives and regularly consult with supervising registered nurses to keep the hospice team informed about patients’ progression and family needs.

The position requires qualifying direct-care experience, registration in good standing on the nurse aide registry in the state of employment, basic technology skills including use of a mobile device, and compliance with applicable training and competency-evaluation requirements. State-specific credentials or alternate qualifications may apply.

Requirements

• Meet one of the following experience requirements: at least one year of full-time direct client care experience in an institutional setting such as a hospital or nursing facility; or one year of direct client care experience within the last five years in a home health or hospice setting.
• Be registered and listed in good standing on the nurse aide registry in the state of employment.
• Possess basic demonstrated technology skills, including operation of a mobile device.
• Possess a valid state driver license.
• Maintain automobile liability insurance as required by law.
• Maintain dependable transportation in good working condition.
• Be able to safely drive an automobile in all types of weather conditions.
• Complete training and competency evaluation in compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Possess CPR certification.
• Meet any applicable state-specific qualification or credential requirements. These include specified home health aide certificates or certified nurse assistant certificates in certain states, and certain alternate qualifications in Arkansas and Delaware.

• Demonstrate an active willingness to learn the required technology skills in lieu of existing technology skills.
