About The Position

Dierksen Hospice is seeking a full-time Hospice Aide (CNA) to provide hands-on care to patients at the end of life. Working closely with the nursing team, the aide helps meet patients’ physical, emotional, and personal needs with respect, empathy, and professionalism. The role serves the Hot Springs coverage area and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Dierksen Hospice describes itself as a mission-driven, patient-centered provider of end-of-life care, focused on supporting patients and their loved ones with comfort, dignity, and compassion. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Current, unencumbered CNA certificate in the state where the employee will work.
At least one year of experience as a CNA in an acute care or long-term care setting.
Current CPR certification if mandated by the state.
Current driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and access to dependable transportation.

Responsibilities

Follow each patient’s plan of care to support comfort and well-being, and respond promptly and compassionately to requests from patients and their families or caregivers.
Assist patients with personal care, including bathing, oral hygiene, changing bedding and clothing, and shampooing.
Provide exceptional customer service and work to support patient satisfaction.
Share knowledge with patients’ families and guide and support them in caring for terminally ill loved ones.
Maintain accurate documentation in patients’ homes and in accordance with agency and regulatory standards.
