About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) Field Admissions Specialist completes hospice admissions and patient visits as needed. Admission nurses orient new patients to the hospice program, assist patients and caregivers with legal paperwork, and complete thorough nursing assessments. This part-time position involves two 10-hour shifts on Thursday and Friday, with two patient visits per day. The nurse must be comfortable driving and traveling throughout the Bay Area, including long distances, to visit patients where they live, such as private homes, assisted living facilities, and hospitals.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of hospice, skilled nursing facility (SNF), or hospital experience.
• Ability to establish hospice eligibility and diagnosis when a patient is appropriate.
• Willingness and comfort traveling throughout the Bay Area, including driving long distances.
• Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and auto insurance.
• Registered Nursing licensure in the state of California.
