Horticulture Technician (Landscaping, Gardening) (Part Time, Sesame Place Chula Vista)
About The Position

We're seeking enthusiastic, dedicated, and hard-working individuals to become our Ambassadors. Come and play an important part on our incredible team today! You’ll help grow and maintain our beautiful park grounds. This involves performing a variety of ground maintenance duties, including mowing, trimming, watering, weeding, planting, pruning, and container maintenance with an early morning schedule. You will also: Maintain cleanliness and quality of work area Maintain accurate records of activities performed Provide excellent service to guests and Ambassadors Operate park vehicles Communicate professionally and effectively with Ambassadors, Vendors and our Guests Perform other duties as assigned. Occasionally assist other locations and areas in the park as needed.
Requirements
- Basic plant or landscape knowledge
- At least 18 years old
- Excellent English communication skills
- Basic operational knowledge of both power and hand tools
- Ability to lift, pull, and push a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time in extreme weather conditions
- Scheduling flexibility - be able to work 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Strong multi-tasking abilities
- Shifts start as early as 6am
- Must be able to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Minimum of 3 days a week
- Hours may fluctuate based on business need; may be scheduled up to 29 hours weekly
Nice To Haves
- Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a SeaWorld driver’s license preferred
Responsibilities
