We are looking to bring onboard a Horticultural Technician to join our fantastic team in New York City! You will bring a passion for plants, excellent customer service and professionalism to the team and ensure success in as a Technician. This is a field-based, independent role where you’ll spend time on our client sites, carrying out plant maintenance, sharing your knowledge when it comes to caring for their variety of plants and ensuring our clients’ displays always look their best.

Requirements

  • Great communication skills: You’re confident speaking with clients and colleagues, and you know how to make people feel valued.
  • Customer service expertise: You take pride in delivering excellent service and always go the extra mile to keep clients happy, and you have done this in previous roles.
  • An enthusiasm and passion for plants: You have a genuine interest in plants and the outdoors - your passion shines through in your work!
  • The ability to navigate multiple cities: You’re comfortable navigating the city with the use of a vehicle and / or public transport.
  • An explorer’s mindset: You can easily orient yourself in large office buildings and outdoor spaces, making sure every display gets the care it deserves.
  • The ability to take on a physically active role: You’re able to use watering cans, stepladders, and stools as part of your daily routine, and you enjoy being on the move.
  • Ability to travel around the city - You have good access to transport links
  • A full driving license.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining internal and external plant displays to a high standard at a variety of client sites.
  • Completing site reporting and ensuring data integrity is maintained.
  • Collaborating with your line manager on new ideas, feedback, challenges and the mapping of visits to ensure smooth operations and delivery of customer satisfaction.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Providing the highest level of customer success. As the primary point of contact of clients, you will their on-site point of contact, engaging, answering questions and ensuring satisfaction with their installation and the service.
