About The Position
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Horse Care Staff member to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who is confident working independently and has extensive hands-on horse care experience. You will be responsible for the daily care of 17 horses. This position is worked independently. You will be the only horse care staff member on-site during your shift, so you must be self-motivated, comfortable working alone, and capable of making sound decisions when needed.
Requirements
- Significant, hands-on horse care experience.
- Comfortable tending to a barn independently.
- Extensive horse handling and horse care experience is required.
- Must be self-motivated, comfortable working alone, and capable of making sound decisions when needed.
- Strong time management and organizational skills are essential.
- Must be reliable, hardworking, and able to maintain a consistent routine with attention to detail.
- Must have reliable transportation.
Responsibilities
- Complete all daily horse care duties, including: Feeding and watering, Turnout and bringing horses in, Stall cleaning and barn chores, General barn maintenance.
- Care of other small animals on the property.
