The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (NYC DOHMH)'s Bureau of Hepatitis, HIV, and Sexually Transmitted Infections (BHHS) oversees the City's response to viral hepatitis, HIV, and sexually transmitted infections (STIs). BHHS leads testing initiatives; prevention, care, and treatment programming; epidemiology and surveillance; research and evaluation; training and technical assistance; community engagement; social marketing; policy advocacy; and racial equity and social justice initiatives. The HIV Care and Treatment Program (CTP) within BHHS is the recipient of federal grants for HRSA's Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP) Part A and HUD's Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS (HOPWA). CTP is comprised of five units: Administration, Program Planning, Quality Management and Program Implementation, Research and Evaluation, and Housing Services Unit. This position, under the general direction of the Director of the Housing Services Unit and the HOPWA Program Manager, will support the planning, development, and design of HOPWA programs in the NYC EMSA (which includes all five NYC boroughs, three NY counties, and three NJ counties) by working closely with external partners, bureau and intra-agency partners, and the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
