About The Position

The position is currently funded through June 30, 2027. An additional funding extension may occur, but is not guaranteed. Under limited supervision, this position will collaborate with internal and external partners including employers, industry associations, economic development agencies, education partners, and community-based organizations to identify and develop or expand Registered Apprenticeship programs in Hillsborough and Pinellas Counties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and no experience required.
  • Associate degree plus two years of customer service, case management, or related workforce experience.
  • High School Diploma plus four years of customer service, case management, or related workforce experience.
  • Florida Workforce Professional Certification Tier I required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite (Outlook, Word etc.).

Nice To Haves

  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • The development and refinement of referral and joint case management processes between CareerSource Tampa Bay and local DCF offices.
  • Management of the CareerSource Tampa Bay referral portal on UniteUs, followed by continuous communication with DCF regarding referrals and subsequent case management of referrals, as necessary.
  • The development and implementation of specialized services and programming to assist Hope Florida program participants find jobs, enroll in training, and launch new career pathways leading to self-sufficiency and economic prosperity. This programming should include at a minimum job readiness, career exploration through virtual and/or engagement with local employers, life skills, and job search activities through a cohort/job club approach to provide mutual support.
  • Job development with companies committed to providing employment opportunities for HOPE Florida participants, including employer engagement and support to promote the use of the Hope Employer micro-site powered by Employ Florida.
  • Develop strategies to increase awareness and referrals to potential clients in need of immediate support to address barriers and challenges not related to employment to DCF to access resources. This no-wrong-door approach would further ensure public resources are maximized to help more Floridians and their families achieve economic stability and improve their quality of life.
  • Convening/participating in regular meetings with local DCF and other appropriate entities to review the journey of jointly managed HOPE Florida participants, as well as fostering open communication regarding processes and procedures to ensure continuous operational flow of the program and the services provided to participants.
  • Participation in periodic meetings with state partners including DCF, CareerSource Florida and FloridaCommerce to refine the program statewide and communicating information, as needed, with leadership and applicable programs.
  • Increase use of and leveraging the Florida CLIFF Dashboard suite of tools in case management, career coaching, and identifying necessary supportive services when working with Hope Florida participants.
  • Developing and delivering appropriate training and disseminating important information pertaining to the Hope Florida initiative to various programs across the organization.
