Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED preferred. Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • One year of relevant experience with 6 months of experience deburring small parts
  • Demonstrated experience holding to a tolerance of .0001.
  • Demonstrated ability to use adjustable measuring instruments such as bore mics and air gages.
  • In accordance with strict Federal Aviation Administration (F.A.A.) regulations regarding Safety Sensitive Work (S.S.W.), employee enrollment & participation in the company’s "F.A.A. Drug & Alcohol Program" is a requirement for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using a Sunnen Honing Machine is helpful, but not required
  • Flat Lap machining experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • You will work on a wide variety of parts with diverse configurations and complexity, building broad machining experience.
  • You will have the opportunity to operate equipment outside your area of expertise, as necessary, although you're not required to be an "expert" in all machine families (lathes, mills, grinders, etc.).
  • You will participate in the planning of work and resolving of problems within the Cell using team skills.
  • You will inspect all work performed and detect unusual conditions, defective materials, and deviant parts as well as recognize errors in blueprints and operation sheets.
  • You will positively contribute to the teamwork environment in terms of productivity, cooperation, data collection and attitude.
