About The Position

UniversaCare is hiring a homemaker and companion to provide care to clients in their own homes in northern Westchester. This is a field position: you’ll travel to clients’ homes, not work in an office. Hiring, onboarding and support are handled by our UniversaCare of Northern Westchester office at 295 Main Street, 2nd Floor, Mount Kisco, NY 10549. Pay: $19.65 to $25 per hour. The starting rate is New York’s home health aide minimum wage and rises each year with it. Schedule: Part-time and full-time.

Requirements

• A caring attitude and reliability
• Eligibility to work in the United States
• Completion of the background check and health screening required for the role

Nice To Haves

• Caregiving experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship, conversation and activities
• Prepare meals, do light housekeeping and laundry
• Run errands and go with clients to appointments
• Help clients keep a safe, steady daily routine
