About The Position

UniversaCare is hiring a homemaker and companion to care for clients in southern Westchester. You’ll work out of our UniversaCare of Westchester office at 6 Gramatan Ave, Suite 609, Mount Vernon, NY 10550. The pay rate ranges from $19.65 to $25 per hour, with the starting rate being New York’s home health aide minimum wage and increasing annually with it. This position offers both part-time and full-time schedules.

Requirements

• A caring attitude and reliability
• Eligibility to work in the United States
• Completion of the background check and health screening required for the role

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship, conversation and activities
• Prepare meals, do light housekeeping and laundry
• Run errands and go with clients to appointments
• Help clients keep a safe, steady daily routine
