About The Position

The Home Visitor is responsible for using sound professional judgment and best practices to ensure quality services are provided to the service population, especially in crisis situations, while maintaining compliance with established program standards. Innovative Network of Knowledge (INK) is an educational nonprofit that specializes in finding and developing solutions to problems faced by teachers, administrators, parents, and students in the educational community. INK provides a variety of comprehensive early childhood education and family support services thanks to strong partnerships with school districts, innovative and fun curriculums, and passionate staff dedicated to learning and academic success.

Requirements

High School Diploma.
Learn, live and coach one team, one mission culture and values. Lead through change by bringing clarity, generating energy and delivering success.
Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens and maintain emotional control, and professional composure, at all times.
Provide proof or work eligibility status upon request.
Pass a pre-employment and biennial criminal background and motor vehicle check (fingerprints needed if applicant has lived out of state within the past 5 years).
Demonstrate the ability to respond sensitively and competently to the service population’s cultural and socio-economic characteristics.
Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally in English and Spanish.
Demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrate the ability to maintain computer literacy required to meet the responsibilities of the position.
Demonstrate the ability to work effectively and without intensive supervision both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
Demonstrate the ability to travel locally as needed.
Demonstrate the ability to manage time effectively and efficiently.
Will follow all procedures of the INK personnel manual.
Must possess a current and valid drivers license.
Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in a human service field or related field or currently enrolled in an advanced degree program.
1-year related direct service experience.
Bilingual preferred (Spanish)

Responsibilities

Outreach and recruitment of participants for classes, including efforts for minimizing attrition.
Establishes and maintains a trusting and professional working relationship with families by providing regular contact through personal visits.
Administer intake, assessments, and screening tools to clients and family members.
Utilizes intake and assessment results to establish and effectively implement goals, objectives, and activities identified with parents.
Records all group and individualized services and activities in a complete, concise, and timely manner utilizing program forms into informational software/databases.
Meets with Project Manager/supervisor on a bi-weekly basis to evaluate status of families on caseload.
Obtains and maintains certification in SafeCare curriculum administration.
Enroll and partner in serving a maximum of 60 clients and provide sessions of services as per Texas Home Visiting guidelines.
Provide parent & health education, case management, resource and referrals, basic needs support, transportation assistance, and/or other support services to families on caseload.
Document all attendance on a weekly basis in informational software.
Attend all required trainings.
Provide community education on child abuse prevention strategies.
Develop together with Director, updates, reminders, and community education information.
