About The Position

Under the direction of the assigned administrator, the Home-to-School Transporter safely operates a designated school vehicle to transport students efficiently to and from school along designated routes. The role assists with loading and unloading physically and mentally disabled students. The designated vehicle does not require a Special Drivers Certificate (DL 45), passenger endorsement, Commercial Driver’s License, or operation of a vehicle with air brakes. The transporter performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education, or equivalent.
• Maintain a valid California Driver’s License.
• Maintain a District-insurable driving record.
• Maintain valid First Aid and CPR Certification.
• Participate in the random drug testing pool.
• Submit a resume and one signed letter of recommendation with the application.

Nice To Haves

• Experience driving students and/or groups of individuals.
