About The Position

At Vector Security, we are looking for a Home Technology Sales Representative to join our team. This role involves prospecting, presenting products and services to homeowners, builders, and small commercial owners, and selling to customers to grow their assigned market. The sales representative will be responsible for ensuring proper documentation for sales agreements and proposals, engaging existing customers, and maintaining continuous communication with management. Meeting established quotas and sales performance targets is a key responsibility.

Requirements

  • High School Degree - required.
  • Prospecting Skills: In order to expand residential business, it is important that residential sales reps be able to build new relationships and generate new business for the company.
  • Closing Skills: Must be able to close sales at a rate deemed acceptable by management to meet performance levels. Must be able to overcome objections and have strong negotiation skills.
  • Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record - required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree - preferred.
  • Selling/Customer Service Experience - preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in previous sales positions.

Responsibilities

  • Selling Vector’s residential solutions and achieving sales orders, RMR and unit targets.
  • Generating sales opportunities through cold calling, community involvement, creating community partners, and engaging existing customers.
  • Actively working assigned leads, documenting the status, and maintaining a high closing percentage.
  • Maintaining in-depth product knowledge via ongoing training and required certifications.
  • Educating customers about Vector Security products and services.
  • Upholding relationships with clients to ensure they remain satisfied, that their questions are answered, and that their needs are met throughout the life of the customer.
  • Identifying ways to market products to new consumers, including identifying new target market segments/opportunities.
