About The Position

Prep Academy Tutors is a private in-home, in-person tutoring company that delivers flexible and personalized tutoring programs to students in Collier County. We specialize in all subject areas and cater to kindergarten to grade 12 students. We hire only the best-certified teachers and Subject Matter Experts or those completing their degree in Education and pay higher wages than the industry average. We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced in-person tutor in Bonita Springs, FL (34124) to provide academic support to students in our area. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with elementary and middle school students and have strong skills in English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics. The tutor will provide academic support based on the student's individual needs and the state curriculum, develop and provide supplemental assignments to reinforce learning, provide remedial and enrichment support, communicate with parents or guardians regarding student progress, create a customized approach tailored to the student's learning style and academic goals, and deliver engaging, one-on-one instruction in an in-person setting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Hold a valid Florida State teaching certificate or the equivalent thereof
• Current student teacher pursuing a teaching certificate
• Two or more years of experience as a private or charter school classroom teacher
• Experience as a lecturer/course instructor at an accredited U.S. University or College
• Master's/PhD student with experience as a teaching assistant at an accredited U.S. University or College
