About The Position

Prep Academy Tutors of Boise is a private in-person tutoring company that offers flexible and personalized tutoring programs. They specialize in all subject areas for students aged four to twenty. The company hires certified teachers or those pursuing an education degree and offers higher than average wages. This role involves providing academic support to students based on expertise and knowledge of the Idaho curriculum, with a focus on elementary education and multiple subject areas. The tutor will provide supplemental assignments and curriculum-based materials to enhance student understanding. Responsibilities include offering homeschool, remedial, enrichment, and curriculum development support, as well as communicating with parents about student progress and educational goals.

Requirements

• Availability during morning or daytime hours.
• Expertise or strong familiarity with elementary education and multiple subject areas, including math, science, reading, writing, and language arts.
• Energetic and enthusiastic teachers with experience teaching elementary-aged students.
• Committed to providing excellent customer service.
• Enjoy working with students & families.
• Great communication skills.
• Located in the Caldwell/Nampa area or willing to travel more than 20 minutes to an assignment.
• Hold a registration in good standing with the Idaho Department of Education.
• Qualified to teach elementary education or multiple subjects.
• A current teacher candidate; pursuing a bachelor of education.
• Experience developing curriculum or providing homeschool instruction.
• Experience as a lecturer/course instructor at an accredited University or College.
• An advanced degree with at least one year of tutoring experience.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with homeschooling, curriculum development, or creating individualized learning plans is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic support to students based on expertise and knowledge of the Idaho curriculum, with a focus on elementary education and multiple subject areas.
• Provide supplemental assignments and curriculum-based materials to students to help promote greater understanding of material.
• Provide homeschool, remedial, enrichment, and curriculum development support for students.
