Requirements

  • Home Property claims adjusting experience (2+ years required or 1+ year with related exp).
  • Drive and determination to produce an outstanding work product and to provide the high level of customer service we promise to our policyholders.
  • Knowledge of insurance coverage, insurance law, DOI regulations, structural estimates, repair costs and homeowner insurance concepts.
  • Experience using Xactimate (required).
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills and sound judgment
  • A strong sense of organization to keep you on top of the incoming claim volume, calls, mail and demands of the role.
  • High School diploma (some college preferred)
  • Ability to meet state licensing requirements

Responsibilities

  • Conduct investigations over the phone of various property claims perils, from water, to wind and hail losses, to complex fire claims, and everything in between.
  • Determine coverage by applying provisions of policy contracts in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal quality procedures.
  • Leverage your own investigation and technical skills, our vendors, our customers, and their representatives, to review photographs, inspection reports, obtain police or fire reports and other statements, and ensure that we provide a fair and accurate settlement within the confines of the policy.
  • Use your people skills and business smarts to provide excellent customer service by communicating with policyholders, claimants, their representatives and vendors to promptly resolve problems.
