About The Position
The Home Medication History Information Technician works under the direction of the Home Medication Information RN to help provide indirect patient care. The role ensures that the home medication information process is completed according to policy and serves as a resource to staff during admission or as needed to obtain the best possible list of medications a patient takes at home. The position is based at Piedmont Fayette Hospital in Fayetteville, Georgia, and follows a modified 7-on/7-off evening schedule: 11:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., with two days off, two days worked, five days off, and five days worked.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- One year of experience in a retail pharmacy setting.
- Current Licensed Pharmacy Technician registration with the state Board of Pharmacy upon hire, or current Registered Pharmacy Intern registration with the state Board of Pharmacy upon hire.
- Basic Life Support (BCLS).
Nice To Haves
- Hospital pharmacy experience.
- IV admixture experience.
- IV chemotherapy preparation experience.
- PTCB certification.
