Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
About The Position
Suru provides outpatient physical therapy in patients’ homes across Southern California. The Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant treats follow-up visits in patients’ homes. A licensed physical therapist completes the evaluation and plan of care and is available to answer questions. Plans of care are usually 2–3 visits per week for 12 weeks and may be renewed when continued therapy is appropriate. Suru’s app notifies the PTA when a nearby patient needs visits; the PTA chooses which patients to accept and sets visit times directly with patients. Suru handles intake, insurance, evaluations, and billing. Routine visit notes are completed in the app by dictating, reviewing, and submitting them. The role is paid per completed visit, with direct deposit every week. The PTA works as a 1099 independent contractor.
Requirements
- Active California PTA license.
- A local business license; an LLC is not required.
- Work as a 1099 independent contractor.
