Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Suru In-Home Physical Therapy•El Cajon, CA
•Onsite

About The Position

Suru provides outpatient physical therapy in patients’ homes across Southern California and is seeking licensed physical therapist assistants to treat patients near where they live and work. The PTA provides follow-up visits in patients’ homes. A licensed physical therapist completes each evaluation and plan of care and is available to answer questions. Plans of care are usually two to three visits per week for 12 weeks and may be renewed when continued therapy is appropriate, allowing PTAs to work with patients longer than a typical home health episode. When a patient nearby needs visits, the Suru app notifies the PTA. PTAs choose which patients to accept and arrange visit times directly with patients. Suru handles intake, insurance, evaluations, and billing. Routine visit notes can be dictated by voice, reviewed, and submitted in the app and take about a minute. Compensation is per completed visit, comparable to home health, with weekly direct deposit. The role is performed as a 1099 independent contractor.
