Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
About The Position
Suru provides outpatient physical therapy in patients’ homes across Southern California and is seeking licensed physical therapist assistants to treat patients near where they live and work. The PTA provides follow-up visits in patients’ homes. A licensed physical therapist completes each evaluation and plan of care and is available for questions. Plans of care are usually two to three visits per week for 12 weeks and are often renewed when continued therapy is appropriate. When a patient nearby needs visits, the Suru app notifies the PTA, who chooses which patients to accept and sets visit times directly with the patient. Suru handles intake, insurance, evaluations, and billing. Routine visit notes can be dictated by voice, reviewed, and submitted in the app.
Requirements
- Active California PTA license.
- A local business license; an LLC is not required.
- Work as a 1099 independent contractor.

- Home health experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide follow-up physical therapy visits to patients in their homes.
