Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
About The Position
Suru provides outpatient physical therapy in patients’ homes across Southern California. The Physical Therapist Assistant treats follow-up visits in patients’ homes. A licensed physical therapist completes the evaluation and plan of care and is available to answer questions. Plans of care are usually 2–3 visits per week for 12 weeks and are often renewed when continued therapy is appropriate. Suru notifies the assistant through its app when a nearby patient needs visits; the assistant chooses which patients to accept and schedules visit times directly with patients. Suru handles intake, insurance, evaluations, and billing. Routine visit notes are completed in the app by dictating, reviewing, and submitting them. Compensation is per completed visit, with weekly direct deposit to the assistant’s bank account. This is a 1099 independent contractor role.
Requirements
- Active California PTA license.
- A local business license; an LLC is not required.
- Work as a 1099 independent contractor.
