Home Health Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
About The Position
Suru provides outpatient occupational therapy in patients’ homes across Southern California and is seeking licensed COTAs to treat patients near where they live and work. The COTA provides follow-up visits in patients’ homes; a licensed occupational therapist completes each evaluation and plan of care and is available to answer questions. Plans of care usually involve two to three visits per week for 12 weeks and may be renewed when continued therapy is appropriate. When a nearby patient needs visits, the Suru app notifies the COTA, who chooses which patients to accept and schedules visit times directly with patients. Suru handles intake, insurance, evaluations, and billing. Routine visit notes can be dictated by voice, reviewed, and submitted in the app. Compensation is per completed visit, comparable to home health, with direct deposit every week. The role is performed as a 1099 independent contractor.
Requirements
- Active California COTA license.
- Work as a 1099 independent contractor.
- Local business license; an LLC is not required.

- Home health experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
