Home Health Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Suru In-Home Physical Therapy•Carlsbad, CA
•Onsite

About The Position

Suru provides outpatient occupational therapy in patients’ homes across Southern California and is seeking licensed COTAs to treat patients near where they live and work. The role involves treating follow-up visits in patients’ homes. A licensed occupational therapist completes each evaluation and plan of care and is available to answer questions. Plans of care are usually 2–3 visits per week for 12 weeks and may be renewed when continued therapy is appropriate, allowing COTAs to work with patients longer than a typical home health episode. When a patient nearby needs visits, the Suru app notifies the COTA. COTAs choose which patients to accept and arrange visit times directly with patients. Suru handles intake, insurance, evaluations, and billing. Routine visit notes can be dictated by voice, reviewed, and submitted through the app. Compensation is per completed visit, comparable to home health, with weekly direct deposit. To begin, applicants apply and complete onboarding in the Suru app or at app.gosuru.com, providing their license, service area, availability, and desired rate. After approval, they can view available patients in their area.
