Home Health Nurse- RN or LPN
About The Position
Giving Home Health Care is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide patient care in the patient’s residence, in accordance with a physician-established care plan. The role is a 1099 contract opportunity. Patients accepted into the program have no expiration on this benefit, enabling caregivers to build long-term relationships with them. The nurse advocates for patients and provides one-on-one care, collaborating with CNAs, HHAs, case managers, and patients’ physicians. Openings are available in Espanola, Santa Fe, Velarde, Penasco, Los Alamos, White Rock, Ohkay Ohwingeh, Albuquerque, and Belen, New Mexico. Offers are contingent upon passing a background check.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited college or university Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing.
- Current state or compact license as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Current CPR certification.
- TB test and physical examination.
- Maintain required insurance.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and move patients.
- Ability to operate under stressful conditions and make quick decisions.
- Dependable transportation and willingness to commute to patients’ homes.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of experience as an RN or LPN in a clinical or home health setting.
- Ability to assist with a two-person assist.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in the patient’s home according to a physician-established care plan.
- Advocate for patients and provide one-on-one care.
- Collaborate with CNAs, HHAs, case managers, and patients’ physicians.
- Provide basic medical management, including care for medically fragile patients through end of life.
