About The Position

Giving Home Health Care is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide personalized, one-on-one care in patients’ residences. The nurse administers care according to a physician-established care plan and advocates for patients. The role collaborates with CNAs, HHAs, case managers, and patients’ physicians. Once patients are accepted into the program, their benefit has no expiration, allowing caregivers to build long-term relationships with them. This is a 1099 contract opportunity, with part-time and full-time openings in Espanola, Santa Fe, Velarde, Penasco, Los Alamos, White Rock, Ohkay Owingeh, Albuquerque, and Belen, New Mexico. Offers are contingent upon passing a background check.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited college or university Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing.
Current state or compact license as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
Current CPR certification.
TB test and physical examination.
Maintain required insurance.
Good interpersonal skills.
Hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move patients.
Ability to operate under stressful conditions and make quick decisions.
Dependable transportation and willingness to commute to patients’ homes.
Pass a background check.

Nice To Haves

At least 1 year of experience as an RN or LPN in a clinical or home health setting.
Ability to assist with a two-person assist.

Responsibilities

Administer patient care in accordance with a physician-established care plan.
Advocate for patients and provide one-on-one care in their homes.
Collaborate with CNAs, HHAs, case managers, and patients’ physicians.
Provide basic medical management, including care for medically fragile patients through end of life.
