About The Position
Unlimited Health Care Services Inc. is seeking compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join their home health team in Fort Lauderdale and East Broward County. This is a per diem, 1099 position offering flexibility to choose visits that fit your schedule, making it ideal for those seeking additional income, working around other commitments, or starting a nursing career in home health. The role allows for a schedule that works for the individual while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. As an LPN, you will provide direct nursing care to patients in their homes under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and physician. You will be part of a supportive clinical team dedicated to providing compassionate and dependable care.
Requirements
- Active Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- New graduates are encouraged to apply
- Willingness to learn and grow in the home health setting
- Reliable transportation for patient home visits
- Valid driver's license and current auto insurance
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and responsibly
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care to patients in their homes as directed by the plan of care
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered
- Monitor patients and report changes in condition to the supervising RN and appropriate members of the care team
- Assist patients with their prescribed plan of care and promote safety and independence in the home
- Provide patient and caregiver education regarding medications, treatments, disease management, and home safety
- Communicate with the RN, physician, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team regarding patient needs
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation for each visit
- Maintain professional, compassionate, and respectful relationships with patients and their families
