About The Position

The Home Health Educator Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the assessment, development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of education for home care, with an emphasis on ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. This role involves collaborating with home care managers to ensure the orientation, competency, development, and integration of new colleagues, as well as the ongoing development of current staff. Additional responsibilities include serving as the informatics liaison and providing education on competence with various technologies (computer, electronic health record (Epic), learning management system, etc.) required for each role. The educator also functions as a liaison with schools, colleges, and universities to coordinate student learning activities.

Requirements

Graduate of an approved Nursing education program.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications for creation of instructional documents, course curriculums, orientation materials and related visual aides.
Accurate and clear oral & written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's in nursing is preferred.
Certification in OASIS within one year (Home Care only).
Ten years of nursing practice, including five in Home Care is preferred.
Preferred CPR Instructor Certification.
