About The Position

Visiting Angels Humble is seeking compassionate Home Health Aides to support senior adults and others in need in Kingwood and surrounding communities. The role provides companionship and assistance with daily activities, including personal care, mobility, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and transportation. Caregivers may also receive advanced training in areas such as dementia care or Alzheimer’s care.

Requirements

• Passion for serving others and a genuine caregiver orientation.
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking, with attention to dietary constraints.
• Willingness to follow health and safety standards.
• Respectful and compassionate demeanor.
• Good time-management skills.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong ethics.
• Physical endurance.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Clean background.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication.
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility at home and outside, including to appointments and walks.
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Help clients with routine exercises.
• Plan and prepare meals with clients’ assistance when they are able.
• Shop for clients or accompany them while shopping.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks clients cannot complete on their own.
• Provide pleasant and supportive companionship.
• Report unusual incidents.
• Respond quickly and responsibly to emergencies.
