About The Position

Visiting Angels Baytown is seeking compassionate Home Health Aides to provide care and companionship to senior adults and others in need in Baytown and surrounding communities, including Liberty. The role combines personal care and mobility support with meal preparation, light housekeeping, transportation, and companionship. Caregivers may also have opportunities for advanced training in areas such as dementia care and Alzheimer’s care.

Requirements

Passion for serving others and a genuine caregiver disposition.
Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking, with attention to dietary constraints.
Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
Respectful and compassionate approach.
Good time management skills.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong ethics.
Physical endurance.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Clean background.
Willingness to work in the Baytown, Liberty, Dayton, Mont Belvieu, Crosby, and Channelview areas.

Responsibilities

Help clients take prescribed medication.
Assist clients with ambulation and mobility at home and outside the home, including walks and doctor’s appointments.
Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
Help clients with routine exercises.
Plan and prepare meals with clients’ assistance when they are able.
Shop for clients or accompany them while shopping.
Perform light housekeeping duties clients cannot complete on their own.
Provide pleasant and supportive companionship.
Report unusual incidents.
Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
