About The Position

Maximum Care, Inc. is seeking a Direct Care Worker to provide respectful, compassionate support to elderly people, people with disabilities, and participants with intellectual disabilities. The role involves supporting participants’ physical and emotional care while preserving their dignity and rights. Home assistance may include light housekeeping, errands, transportation, accompanying clients to appointments, medication assistance or reminders, meal preparation, grocery shopping, and personal care such as toileting, bathing, feeding, and grooming. The position also provides companionship and conversation. The posting specifies a weekend schedule of 18 hours and offers part-time or full-time schedules. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be able to complete a criminal background report.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
Must be able to reach, bend, kneel, and stand for sometimes long periods.

Responsibilities

Provide physical and emotional care to participants due to illness, injury, disability, or other needs.
Treat participants and their property with dignity, patience, compassion, and respect.
Provide light housekeeping, run errands, or provide transportation as needed.
Accompany clients to appointments and assist with or remind them about medications.
Prepare meals, purchase food, and assist with general living needs.
Provide personal assistance, including toileting, bathing, feeding, and grooming.
Provide companionship and conversation by stimulating, encouraging, and assisting participants.
