About The Position
Maximum Care, Inc. is seeking a Direct Care Worker to provide respectful, compassionate care to participants, including older adults and people with disabilities or intellectual disabilities. The role supports participants’ physical and emotional needs while protecting their dignity and rights. Duties may include personal care, household assistance, errands, transportation, meal preparation, medication reminders, and companionship. Maximum Care, Inc. has been in business for over 40 years. The company offers flexible schedules, mobile-based applications and training, and face-to-face meetings via Zoom.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to complete a criminal background report.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
- Ability to reach, bend, kneel, and stand for sometimes long periods.
Responsibilities
- Care for participants and their property with dignity, patience, compassion, and respect.
- Provide physical and emotional care to participants due to illness, injury, or disability.
- Provide light housekeeping, run errands, or provide transportation when needed.
- Accompany clients to appointments and assist with or remind them about medications.
- Prepare meals, purchase food, and assist with general living needs.
- Provide personal services such as toileting, bathing, feeding, and grooming.
- Provide companionship and conversation by stimulating, encouraging, and assisting participants.
